JAPAN CHEMTECH LTD. is established as a JV between Uyeno Group (70%) and Shell Chemicals Japan Ltd. (30%) with start-up capital of 100 million yen for handling the packed products of solvents and other products, and for operating two tank terminals of Shell Chemicals Japan Ltd. as part of the restructuring of Shell Chemicals in the late 1990's.

January 2000

Operation started.

January 2004

Speciality chemicals and some industrial chemicals businesses are transferred from Shell Chemicals Japan Ltd..

March 2007

Started publishing official web site.
